PathoSys® is now live at the Path Links pathology network. This followed an initial trial go-live in the summer followed by a pause to analyse workflow for PathoSys® , upgrade PathoSys and provide support for the Path Links developed WardV viewer. Part of this go live process has been the successful trialling of PathoSys® with Voice Recognition Reporting.
Path Links is a single managed service providing a full range of services across the whole of Greater Lincolnshire.
Supporting this is a single county-wide computer system links all sites and disciplines in Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Louth, Lincoln, Grantham and Boston laboratories.
A key benefit of the system is the provision of accurate and timely information on a wide variety of measures to support both operational and financial management and clinical audit.
In addition to the Pathology IT System, Path Links developed an electronic results reporting system (Ward V) as an interim replacement for results reporting systems. Taking design initiatives from clinical users. Ward V is a very simple and intuitive tool that represents a significant enhancement over previous systems. Ward V is fully operational and in extensive use across both Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust and the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
